First time poultry meat exports beat imports
According to the State Statistics Service, in September poultry meat imports declined compared with the previous month and was at the level of 8.8 thousand t, while exports rose to 9.3 thousand t. This opportunity appeared due to the reduction of imports of all kinds of meat in September and poultry in particular.

28% of agroholdings suffer lack of storage facilities
The study "Largest Crop Holdings in Ukraine" conducted by "AgriSurvey" Agency of the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" (UCAB) shows that about 28% of Ukrainian agroholdings do not possess storage facilities for crop preservation in their structure. However, many agricultural holdings, which have their own granaries, still do not fully match the needs in grain storage facilities.

Growth in corn and soybeans yields in Ukraine 2 times higher than in USA, Brazil and Argentina
Productivity growth in the agricultural sector in Ukraine in the last 10 years is much higher than in its main competitors in the global market. Thus, according to the calculations of the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" (UCAB), based on data by FAO, since 2000, the yield of corn in Ukraine has been increasing annually by 2.3 c/ha, while in the leading exporting countries of this crop - U.S., Brazil and Argentina - the growth of corn yield varies within 0,8-1,4 c/ha.

Tax innovations can deprive farmers of 20 billion UAH of annual revenue
Due to implementation of the existing proposals to change the tax system of AIC, farmers may suffer loss amounting to about 20 billion UAH. Ukraine earned 5 billion U.S. dollars on agricultural products in January-July
Exports of agricultural products in January-July this year amounted to 9.1 billion U.S. dollars, while imports during the same period amounted to 4.2 billion U.S. dollars. Thus, a positive net balance of foreign trade in agricultural products amounted to about $ 5 billion, which is 60% higher than in 2011.

Regulatory pecuniary evaluation of each hectare of arable land overestimated by 6500 UAH
Increased by 75,6%, the regulatory pecuniary evaluation of agricultural land that was conducted according to the resolution №1185 adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, is based on the miscalculation. During the recalculation of the regulatory pecuniary evaluation of arable land on the basis of the methodology, developed in 1995, each hectare of land was overestimated by 6500 UAH.

Farmers to lose 40 billion UAH in current agricultural year
Despite the increase in world prices for crops, prices in the Ukrainian market are still relatively low. If the situation does not change soon, farmers, due to understated sale prices, will lose, about 29 billion UAH in 2012/13 marketing year, the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" (UCAB) said.

Grain producers lose 10 billion UAH this year
As a result of the drought, the yield of early grain crops in the most affected steppe zone of Ukraine decreased from 22 centner/ha to 16 centner/ha, leading to loss of production at the level of 15-20%. In addition to losses from bad weather, the standardized monetary value of land has increased by 75.6% and became an additional financial burden for farmers this year. As a consequence, according to the calculations of the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" (UCAB), this year farmers may suffer record losses - about 10 billion UAH. The President of the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" Alex Lissitsa informed bout this during a press conference yesterday.

Because of bad weather the grain harvest may decline to 40 million tons
Dry weather in June that could be observed almost throughout the whole territory of Ukraine adversely affected the plantings of early grain crops. Experts of the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" (UCAB) predict a decrease in the grain yield in Ukraine for 3 million tons - to 44 million tons. In case of the further deterioration of weather conditions the grain harvest is expected at the level of about 40 million tons.
