EURO 2012 guests spend over 300 UAH per day for food
About 30% of foreign guests who came to Kyiv to visit the matches of the final part of European championship, leave in our capital 300 UAH and more every day just for food. Such a survey conducted by the agency «AgriSurvey» Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club."
According to Ukrainian media, the most of foreign visitors praise the Ukrainian beer and food, first of all because of their cheapness. However, while almost a third of tourists gives for food more than 300 UAH per day, almost 40% - 150-300 UAH daily.
Euro-2012 guests had learned more or less with Ukrainian cuisine and noted its taste qualities. In general the taste preferences of guests from abroad varied. According to the results of the survey, most foreign respondents prefer the Italian cuisine (29%). At the same time, Ukrainian cuisine is in the scale of preferences at the same level with such famous cuisines as Chinese and French (7%).
"However, the majority of football fans from abroad are satisfied with quality of service in the capital of Ukraine. Almost 80% of respondents had no problems with service in domestic food establishments. At the same time the main drawbacks of foreigners they find poor English language skills of staff and no more or less clear information about where to eat Ukrainian food. That evidence of inadequate marketing of domestic Ukrainian cuisine restaurants ", - informed director of the agency« AgriSurvey »Taras Gagalyuk.
Recall that the previous research of agency «AgriSurvey», conducted before Euro-2012, says that revenues from the consumption of food and drink by foreign guests during the European Football Championship could amount 130 million euros.
