Victor Bobrovsky says Ukraine has great potential in biogas production
The use of biogas plants is difficult to overestimate for the current agribusiness. Their application helps to reduce the environmental impact by limiting greenhouse gas emissions. Denmark has a leading place among the industrialized countries in the production of biogas. Biogas occupies up to 18% of total energy balance of this country. Germany also occupies the leading place in the number of medium and large biogas plants (8 thous. on its territory). In Western Europe, at least half of all farms are heated by biogas. Biogas is a universal fuel that can be burned in boilers or used in special installations for the production of electricity and heat.

According to the European Commission, as of the beginning of July 2017, Ukraine has chosen a quota for duty-free exports of barley, barley flour and granules and closed the main quota for the second quarter of the year on chicken.

According to the calculations of Association ‘UCAB’, additional income due to the increase of quotas for duty-free export of agricultural products to the EU countries may amount to approximately USD 165 mln. The highest incomes will be received on group of cereals and products of their processing.

Ukrainian berries and fruits popularity grows abroad
For January-April, 2017 the Ukrainian producers of fruit and berries have increased the volume of product sales abroad. So, the country exported 6,2 thous. tons of apples which added to the same period in 2016 10,5% (in volume) more, while the cost of the exported production in January-April, 2017 has grown by 19,3%. Ukraine exported 11,3 thous. tons of fruits and nuts that is 83% more, than for January-April, 2016, and the total cost has grown by 76% to 14,6 USD million
