Ukraine closed 9 quotas for duty-free exports to the EU
According to the European Commission, as of the beginning of July 2017, Ukraine has chosen a quota for duty-free exports of barley, barley flour and granules and closed the main quota for the second quarter of the year on chicken.
At present, the quotas for duty-free exports have been fully utilized for 9 groups of goods: natural honey, sugar, cereals and flour, processed tomatoes, grape and apple juices, chicken and, in the group of cereals - wheat, corn and barley. The quota for the malt and wheat gluten is almost used (98%). Compared to the last year, the dynamics of closing the quotas significantly accelerated.
Let's remind that this year the volume of the quotas for duty-free exports would be increased in eight groups of goods: honey natural (+ 2,5 thous. tons), cereals and flour (+ 7,8 thous. tons), processed tomatoes (+ 3 thous. tons), grape juice (+ 0,5 thous. tons) and in the group of cereals - oats (+ 4 thous. tons), wheat (+ 65 thous. tons), corn (+ 625 thous. tons) and barley (+ 325 thous. tons).
