Cost of sowing campaign increased by 14%
According to calculation performed the UCAB experts, cost of sowing campaign for 2017 will amount to UAH 103 billion that is 14 % more than index of the previous year. Cost of fuel (+ 26% up to 2016) as well as fertilizers (+ 9% up to 2016) has increased over the year.

Agribusiness export grew in regards to all commodity groups
According to data of the State Fiscal Service, within January-February 2017 comparing to the same period in 2016 the export of agricultural products from Ukraine increased by 32.3% and amounted to USD 2.68 billion Whereas, the share of agricultural products export in terms of the general export structure of Ukraine has not changed - 42.8%.

Volume of capital investments in AIC increased by 62%
During the first three quarters of 2016 the volume of capital investments in agriculture sector grew by 63% amounting to UAH 29.8 billion. For comparison, the amount of capital investment in 2015 is equivalent to the index of I-III quarter of 2016.

Producers of beef will be taught the EU requirements
Ukraine has launched a program of the World Bank Group on training the Ukrainian beef producers to enter the European market. It was commented to UCAB by Kateryna Onul, Advisor on Food Legislation of the World Bank Group for Project ‘Reforming the Investment Climate in Ukraine’.

Agribusiness expectations show modest downslide
This time agri business climate was evaluated by the producers with +16.8 points, which is a modest downslide in comparison to November 2016. If compared to February 2016, when agribusiness climate was evaluated with -18.8 points, it shows considerable improvement. Despite fluctuations in agri business climate that may be caused due to seasonal impact, overall development trend of this estimate seems positive.
