During 6 months, Ukraine increased output of agricultural products by 7.4% - State Statistics Service
In January-June of 2012, the general production of agricultural commodities in Ukraine increased by 7.4% compared to the same period of 2011, including agricultural enterprises – up 11.8%, and households of the population – up 4.4%, declared the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

The potential for improvement of the efficiency of agriculture is much higher in developing countries than in developed countries. This point of view was expressed by Professor of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in University of Goettingen in Germany Ludwig Theuvsen. Cost of wheat on SWOT reached record levels over last four years
Yesterday on SWOT Chicago Mercantile Exchange the bids on wheat ended with price rises for the September contracts by 4.3% to $8.84 per bushel ($328/t). According to the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" (UCAB), it is the highest price for wheat over the last 4 years.

Ukraine increased grain share in the general commodity exports to the level of 9.6%
In January-May of 2012, the general commodity exports from Ukraine totaled 28.2 bln USD (an increase of 5.8% compared to the same period in 2011), imports – 33.9 bln USD (up 7.4%). The coverage ratio of exports to imports totaled 0.83 (in January-May of 2011 – 0.84), according to data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

Individual peasants has got a real state assistance for the first time in 20 years
Statebudget assistance for maintenance and preservation of young cattle has become one of the first initiatives of the Government for twenty years, which aims to help peasants.
