Brazilian bioethanol will allow Ukraine cutting oil purchase volumes - experts
Brazilian bioethanol counts on the Ukrainian market. According to plans of Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Boiko, contents of natural alcohol in any gasoline should make up 5%, and in 2014 - 7%.
The Cabinet has already developed a draft law for gasoline producers about mandatory addition of bioethanol, an UKRINFORM's correspondent reports, citing News UA24.
“This European experience will allow us cutting oil purchase volumes, and on the other hand - giving work to its agrarian producers. We considered this law with all market participants and we believe that it will undoubtedly be positive,” the official is convinced.
At the same time, according to experts, Brazil intends to hand over technologies of the biofuel use to other countries, and the most important - on transfer of the automobile industry to production of flex-fuel engines.” But in Ukraine, beat and corn will be “ethanol” cultures instead of sugarcane.
A proposal of South-Americans to Ukraine is saving to a certain extent, in particular, on the backdrop of a price fall for oil, to which gas prices are pegged. Therefore, having developed ethanol production, Ukraine may approach solving of two problems immediately - launching its agriculture to a new level and cutting a gas price, the analysts believe.
