Ukraine to set up Land Bank with registered capital of 120 million UAH
The Cabinet of Ministers, by its Resolution 609 of July 2, 2012, creates a state land bank with a registered capital of 120 million UAH, according to the decree published on the government portal.

FAO holds expert meeting on food price volatility
The world is being urged to study how financial market speculation could have an impact on the price of food. That is the message coming out of a high-level debate on food price volatility held on last week Friday at the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Rome. FAO said excessive food price swings over the past five years have negatively affected poor consumers and producers around the world.

Because of bad weather the grain harvest may decline to 40 million tons
Dry weather in June that could be observed almost throughout the whole territory of Ukraine adversely affected the plantings of early grain crops. Experts of the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" (UCAB) predict a decrease in the grain yield in Ukraine for 3 million tons - to 44 million tons. In case of the further deterioration of weather conditions the grain harvest is expected at the level of about 40 million tons.
