Prysiazhniuk: Europe's largest bread-baking plant to be launched in Kyiv region in August
Europe's largest bread-baking plant will be put into operation in Kyiv region in August 2012. The project is valued at UAH 500 million, Head of Kyiv Regional State Administration Anatoliy Prysiazhniuk told reporters on Monday as part of his working trip to the region.

Statistics office: Winter crops die throughout 2,247mn ha
The total area of failure of winter crops for grain and green fodder (including rape) under the harvest of 2012 in Ukraine has amounted to 2.247 million hectares, which is 4.07 times higher than last year, APK-Inform reported citing the State Statistics Office.

The general areas of perished winter crops for grain and green fodder (including rapeseed) for the harvest-2012 in Ukraine totaled 2.247 mln ha, an increase of 4.07 times compared to the same index in the previous year, reported the State Statistics Service of Ukraine on July 23.
