Last year purchase prices for cattle increased by 52%
According to UCAB research, in 2015 prices for cattle in Ukraine increased by 52%.
Average purchase prices for bulls accounted for 30,15 UAH/kg (including VAT), and for cows of above medium fatness – 26,60 UAH/kg (including VAT). Purchase prices for cattle reached maximum in July, when the bulls were sold for 30,00-35,00 UAH/kg, and cows of above medium fatness - for 27,00-31,00 UAH/kg.
Inflation and devaluation processes, as well as increasing demand for live cattle for exports where the main reasons for increase of prices for cattle last year.
