Yuschenko suspended acting of resolution of Cabinet of Ministers about sun oil export quotation
President of Ukraine Victor Yuschenko by its decree No 478/2008 from May 26 has suspended efficiency of resolution of Cabinet of Ministers No 189 dd. March 12, 2008 "About establishment of quotas for sun oil and sunflower seeds, export of which is subject to licensing till July 1, 2008, and about order of licenses granting".
Yuschenko motivated his decision by that the sun oil export quotation was introduced without real evaluation of volumes of this product in Ukraine and now leads to negative consequences for domestic fat-and-oil industry.
President also noted that this resolution led to critical state of main production funds in the agro-industrial complex, and consequently, directly threatens economic safety of Ukraine.
At that, according to Yuschenko, acting of this resolution contradicts to the international obligations of Ukraine after joining WTO in particular as regards cancellation of ungrounded export restrictions.
President's decree comes into force since its publication.
