VALARS to increase monthly exports to 500 thsd tons of grains and oilseeds
VALARS Group plans to increase monthly export volumes of grains and oilseeds from Ukraine and Russia to 500 thsd tons beginning from July, declared Kirill Podolskiy, the general director of the group of companies.
According to him, to date the company exports nearly 400 thsd tons of grains and oilseeds per month, in the fourth quarter of the last year, the export volumes totaled nearly 200 thsd tons due to the economic crisis.
The main task of VALARS Group for 2009 is to return the first place in Russian exports of agricultural crops, which previously Yugtransitservice had (in November 2008, VALARS Group purchased 100% of shares of the company), explained the general director.
At the same time, the company does not plan to invest financial funds in the further development of own fleet. Also, the group is ready to sale the terminal for shipment of petroleum products in Taganrog, according to K.Podolskiy.
To date, the group owns two grain terminal sin Russia (Taganrog and Azov), three large-scale linear elevators in Russia, four linear elevators in Ukraine. Agricultural subdivisions of the company cultivate 340 thsd ha of land areas in Russia and Ukraine.
The main trading offices are located in Lausanne (Switzerland), Moscow and Taganrog (Russia), in Kiev (Ukraine) and Almaty (Kazakhstan). The group also owns the terminal for shipment of petroleum products in Taganrog.
