Ukrainians chose the best recipe for barbecue
Yesterday, 30 of May, the winner of All-Ukrainian competition "Taste, Country! The best recipe of barbecue" was awarded. The winner became a recipe of pork barbeque in kefir, which won the largest number of internet users’ votes. It was sent by a resident of Korosten Elena Veremyeyenko.
"We are pleasantly surprised by attention to the competition, the number of prescriptions and the votes we received. It is important that Ukrainian consumers are oriented on traditional food or food produced in Ukraine. This creates conditions for further development of agricultural production in our country," - said General Director of the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" Volodymyr Lapa.
In turn, the author of the best recipe said that the victory was pleasantly surprised. "This is our family recipe of barbecue. Whenever we are going in a circle of friends or family, we traditionally prepare barbecue just according to this recipe. We honestly did not expect that it will win, but decided to try to compete for the grand prize. It is nice that people liked it, and they voted for our recipe ", - said the winner Elena Veremyeyenko.
For the original recipe of barbecue organizers awarded Ms. Elena by a special prize. Recall that the main ingredients of the original barbecue are pork and kefir, as well as onions, basil, salt and pepper. (For more information please visit www.taste-ukraine.com).
In total there were received few dozens of interesting recipes for this popular spring dish. Of these, the committee selected the top ten that were published on the official website of competition www.taste-ukraine.com. Through online voting was chosen the winner.
The competition "Taste, Country! The best recipe of barbecue!" was a part of the competition "Taste, Country!" - the only national competition, which aims on promoting the Ukrainian national cuisine and support domestic producers of food products, organized by the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" with support of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
