Ukrainian Agribusiness Club organizes Day of Ukraine at Fruit Logistica in Berlin February 9-11
Ukrainian Agribusiness Club (UCAB, Ukraine) organizes for the first time the Day of Ukraine at Fruit Logistica with the participation of Ukrainian fruit and vegetable producers. Fruit Logistica is the World's leading trade fair for the fresh fruit and vegetable business and will take place in Berlin (Germany) during February 9-11.
“UCAB initiated the Day of Ukraine because so there were so far no events which covered Ukraine at this main fruit and vegetable exhibition Fruit Logistica. It will be very important for Ukrainian producers to get in contact with experts from all over the world - importers, distributors, retailers, producers and others - to exchange knowledge and ideas, to establish contacts, to initiate business relations, and to provide the international audience of Fruit Logistica with information about Ukraine, its markets and investment opportunities”, said Karen Fisher, Deputy General Director, Coordinator of international relations in UCAB.
In the framework of the Day of Ukraine at Fruit Logistica on February 10, 2011 a seminar on Ukrainian fruit and vegetable production – “Fruit and vegetable production in Ukraine: current situation and perspectives” - will take place. Besides Ukrainian producers will visit German enterprises (among them producers, logistics centers, and wholesale markets).
In order to assess the prospects and developments of fruit and vegetable markets, to get acquainted with new technologies in Ukraine as well as with worldwide trends in the sector UCAB organizes on February 16, 2011 the second international conference "Commercial Horticulture in Ukraine 2011" (Kyiv, Ukraine) in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
