Ukraine is able to export not more than 1.5 mln tonnes of grain by the end of current season
After canceling of grain export quotation, Ukraine may export to the world markets not more than 1.5 mln tonnes of grain, reported Vladimir Klimenko, President of Ukrainian Grain Association, during "Grain Forum-2008".
V. Klimenko explained impossibility of exporting larger volumes by lack of necessary number of earlier concluded export contracts as well as deficiency of railroad cars and chartered ships for grain transportation.
President of Ukrainian Grain Association noted that canceling of export restrictions caused stirring up of foreign trade rates. According to his forecast, next season, Ukraine would start grain deliveries to the world markets approximately 2 months earlier than other countries-exporters, including Russia and Kazakhstan.
