Ukraine. Intervention prices for grains up
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy has again raised the minimum and maximum intervention prices for grain in the 2010/2011 marketing year. The relevant order was put on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.
According to the document, the minimum intervention price (including VAT) for soft wheat Group A Grade 1 has grown from 1,520 to 1,545 UAH/ton (1 USD - 7.91 UAH) and the maximum from 1,824 to 1,854 UAH/ton, Grade 2 from 1,385 to 1,400 UAH/ton and from 1,662 to 1,680 UAH/ton, respectively, and Grade 3 from 1,300 to 1,315 UAH/ton and from 1,520 to 1,580 UAH/ton, respectively.
The minimum price for soft wheat Group B Grade 4 increased from 1,161 to 1,260 UAH/ton, maximum from 1,393 to 1,512 UAH/ton, Grade 5 from 1,125 to 1,225 and from 1,350 to 1,470 UAH/ton, Grade 6 from 1,110 to 1,190 UAH/t and from 1,265 to 1,428 UAH/ton, respectively.
Interventional price of rye remained unchanged: Grade 1 minimum 962 UAH/ton and maximum 1,154 UAH/ton; Grade 2, respectively, 920 UAH/ton and 1,104 UAH/ton; and Grade 3, respectively, 880 UAH/ton and 1,056 UAH/ton.
The minimum price for barley Grade 1 (for food purposes) increased from 1,000 to 1,340 UAH/ton, maximum from 1,238 to 1,608 UAH/ton; Grade 2 (for malt production in alcohol industry) from 950 to 1,320 UAH/ton and from 1,195 to 1,582 UAH/ton; Grade 3 (for feeding purposes) from 920 to 1,295 UAH/ton and from 1,161 to 1,554 UAH/ton, respectively.
The minimum price of corn for baby food products increased from 1,300 UAH/ton to 1,500 UAH/ton, maximum from 1,560 UAH/ton to 1,800 UAH/ton; for food concentrates from 1,200 to 1,450 UAH/ton minimum and from 1,440 to 1,740 UAH/ton maximum; for the production of cereals and flour from 1,150 to 1,400 UAH/ton and from 1,380 to 1,680 UAH/ton; for feeding needs from 1,110 to 1,350 UAH/ton and from 1,320 to 1,620 UAH/ton.
The minimum prices for beet sugar were set at 6,700 UAH/ton, maximum at 7,700 UAH/ton.
As reported, earlier the agrarian ministry increased the intervention price for grain in 2010/2011 MY on July 21, 2010.
