Ukraine increased cereals export
Due to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine cereals’ export volume during seven months of 2016 has reached 17.1 k tons – 33.5% extra comparing to the same period of 2015. In money terms export of this products’ group has increased by 34.8% and reached 5.1 M USD.
Major customers of Ukrainian cereals located in Egypt and Israel sharing 20.7% and 17.4% accordingly. Belarus is third leading country by share in Ukrainian cereals export volumes and accounts for 11.4% stake.
Note that DCFTA defines non-tariff custom quota for barley and flour group products. Taking into account quota in 6.3 k tons per annum, it was fulfilled completely in the early March of 2016. Thus, Ukrainian market has demonstrated increase of export tempo to the EU’s destinations as the same quotas’ volume was completely fulfilled during first five months of 2015.
“Increase of export’s growth rates along with overall increase of cereals and granules’ export confirms that Europeans will continue to buy Ukrainian products of grain processing industry. Further export increase and optional quotas increase will stimulate value added products trade”, said Daria Grytsenko, agro markets expert at “Ukrainian Agribusiness Club”.
