Association ‘Ukrainian Agribusiness Club’ jointly with the Union of Poultry Farmers of Ukraine are becoming members of the European Livestock & Meat Trading Union (UECBV) from 1 January 2017.

Membership in the UECBV is a logical follow-up of more than a yearlong work of UCAB and Union of Poultry Farmers of Ukraine in the European direction. In recent years the Association ‘Ukrainian Agribusiness Club’ has been actively participating in the European integration initiatives of our country in an effort to persuade, on the level of associations represented in Brussels, the EU colleagues in the necessity of enhancing cooperation with Ukrainian agribusiness.

‘It is extremely important for us to receive the ‘voice’ in the representative office of such respectable European association as UECBV. It will foster profound cooperation with the EU institutions which take decisions concerning inclusion to the market of the European countries, establishing communication between the industry-based representatives of civil society as well as enhancing the status of Ukraine in the EU as a whole’, stated Alex Lissitsa, President of the Association ‘Ukrainian Agribusiness Club’.

For reference.  UECBV is a European association facilitating development of an environment in which all EU livestock traders and meat companies can meet the needs of consumers and society, while competing effectively for sustainable growth. UECBV’s permanent secretariat, based in Brussels, maintains close contacts with European and international institutions and holds a key role in public consultations on all issues related to the Europe’s meat industry, formation and functioning of the EU livestock and meat market. UECBV’s membership counts 53 associations out of the 24 Member States of the European Union, and also Morocco, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey and Japan.
