Progress rate in export of agricultural commodities have speeded down
According to the State Fiscal Service, the export of Ukrainian agricultural products in the first quarter of 2016 amounted almost in 3.3 bln USD that is 4.2% less than for the same period of previous year (-146 mln USD). However, the share of agroindustrial sector in the overall structure of export has increased from 37% up to 43%.
Results of the first quarter of 2016 show the biggest reduce in exports of live animals and animal origin products – on 19.4% or almost 32.2 mln USD. Export of finished food products, including beverages and tobacco fell down on 16.2% (96 mln USD) and amounted to 593.6 mln USD. Export of vegetable origin products has dropped on 118 mln USD (-6.4%) to 1.71 bln USD compare to the last year figures.
Growing was marked only in exports of fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin. For the first quarter of 2016, Ukraine has exported these products totally on 945.7 mln USD, that is 12% more (or + 101.7 mln USD) than for the same period of 2015.
