Russia. Economy, incomes on the rise – Putin
Russia’s economy in the first nine months posted a year-on-year expansion of 4 percent, the output in the national industry, nearly ten percent, and the per capita income in real terms, over 5 percent.
A million new jobs have been created, allowing the country to drop quotas on foreign labour in manufacturing and technology sectors.
A skilled foreign worker has no problems securing a three-year stay-and-work permit.
Prime Minister Putin gave the figures to an international investment forum in Sochi in an appearance there on Friday.
He looked forward to an even better economic situation after Russia exchanged visa-free entry with the European Union.
