Representatives of European Committee finish examination of largest Ukrainian sun oil producers
From September 16-24, representatives of the European Committee held an inspection of several large-scale Ukrainian enterprises producing sun oil to check the systems of certification and controls of the quality of products exported to EU countries, Stepan Kapshuk, the general director of the association UkrOliaProm, said on September 25.
During the examination, European inspectors visited Kirovogradolia plant, Dnipropetrovsk solvent-extraction plant, Poltava solvent-extraction plant - Kernel Group, Illichevsk oil terminal Ltd., RISOIL Terminal Ltd. and the Ukrmetrteststandard research centre.
The Ukrmetrteststandard research centre, authorized to determine qualitative indexes for certification of sun oil, demonstrated its own method for testing mineral oils found in sun oil.
The European Committee provided preliminary conclusions about the compliance of Ukrainian controls and certification systems for the requirements of the Committee dd. June 10, 2008.
The general conclusions will appear within 15 days. Currently, EU countries import 50% of Ukrainian sun oil export.
