Premier: Ukraine will not introduce grain export quotas
The Ukrainian government does not plan to introduce any grain export restrictions, Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov said in Simferopol on Friday.
"Despite the drought, [the country] harvested enough grain to satisfy all export and domestic needs. Late crops are being harvested. We planning to completely cover our [country's] needs for bread wheat and fodder grain," he said, speaking at a meeting devoted to the development of Crimea.
"I want to says that we don't plan any export restrictions. We gathered grain traders and told them openly what volume can be shipped abroad to draw up an export schedule, so that it would not disrupt our price stability and our grain stocks," he said.
