Lowest rapeseed sowing areas in the decade
Statistics Service of Ukraine has published a report with lowest estimation of rapeseed sowing areas level in the decade, particularly 456 k ha. Notable shrinkage has been caused by unfavorable weather conditions during last winter crops sowing campaign in autumn of 2015 and oil prices’ decline on global markets.
Based on estimations of the UCAB Association, gross yield of rapeseed in Ukraine projected to decline by 32% comparing to preceding year and will reach 1.2 M tons.
