In October Ukraine continued to rise cereal production
In October Ukrainian enterprises continued to increase cereal production volumes. During the month, the country produced nearly 30.000 tonnes of cereals, an increase of 5% compared to September volumes, and down 5% compared to October, 2007, declared the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine.
At the end of October, the carry-over stocks of the produce totaled 9.100 tonnes, up 25% compared to the end of September.
During 4 months (July-October) of 2008/o9 MY, Ukraine produced 98.900 tonnes of cereals, down 2.200 tonnes (2%) compared to July-October of 2007/08 MY, according to official statistics.
