Favourable investment climate develops in Ukraine: first deputy PM
The most favourable investment climate since Ukraine became an independent state has been fixed in the country this year, First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Kluyev said on Wednesday.
"This year we have got the main factor that influences the investment climate. This is stability, first of all political stability, as the vertical of power has been built fully," Kluyev's press service quoted him as saying at an international investment climate summit in Donetsk on Wednesday.
According to the top official, Ukraine has got the change to removed from the list of the countries with a low economic level. "The presidential vertical, the government and the parliament work as a single mechanism. A big chance has appeared to at last to bring Ukraine to the level of economically developed countries," Kluyev said.
He noted that it is very important for Ukraine "to attract vast investments, develop its economy, introduce new technologies, build new plants, create new jobs".
He said the government works actively on creating conditions for attracting investors. "It is very important that the local authorities, local officials value every investor," Kluyev stressed.
According to him, a new law on state-private partnership is one of the instruments for attracting investments. Kluyev said the draft Tax Code envisages the instruments that will make it possible to sizably improve the investment climate in Ukraine.
