Soybean meal export 40% increase
Based on State Fiscal Services of Ukraine, soybean meal export has increased from 52.3k t in 2015 up to 73k t in 2016 (+40% or +20.7k t). Notable volumes of Ukrainian soybean meal were exported to Belarus (37.1%), Georgia (16.2%) and Turkey (8.7%). In 2015 Ukraine has exported 262k t of soybean meal, 154.3k t of soybean oil and 2.2M t of soybeans accounted in more than 1B USD revenues. According to the Ministry forecast, farmers plan to sow with soybeans around 2M ha. UCAB experts expect soybean acreage increase up to 2.4M ha in 2016. 435k hectares already planted as of April 25, 2016.
