Export of poultry has grew up almost in three times
For the first two months of 2016, Ukraine has exported poultry meat in the amount of 28.9 mln USD that is 29% more than for the same period of 2015. Three major countries-importers of Ukrainian poultry are the Netherlands, Iraq and Egypt (3.6 mln USD, 7.6 mln USD and 3.4 mln USD).
"We have a particular increasing of poultry meat shipments to Iraq and Egypt. Thus, exports to Iraq has increased by 1.6 mln USD in compare to the same period of the previos year, and the fact that Egypt took the third place in the list of the largest importers of Ukrainian poultry proves once again that this market is of strategic importance for Ukrainian agricultural industry” - commented Oleksandra Kovalchuk, Expert of Agrarian Markets of the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club".
