Agribusiness export grew in regards to all commodity groups
According to data of the State Fiscal Service, within January-February 2017 comparing to the same period in 2016 the export of agricultural products from Ukraine increased by 32.3% and amounted to USD 2.68 billion Whereas, the share of agricultural products export in terms of the general export structure of Ukraine has not changed - 42.8%.
Crop products became the powerhouse for increasing export supplies (+ USD 321.2 million in 2017 up to January - February 2016); the wheat (+ USD 107.8 million) and the soybeans (+ USD 120.3 million) constituted the basis for such growth.
Supplies of finished products increased by USD 163.5 million mainly due to the export of sugar (+ USD 74.9 million) as well as press cake (mostly sunflower + USD 37.3 million).
Exports of fats and oil rose by USD 130.5 million owing to the increase of sunflower oil by + USD 127.4 million.
Supplies of livestock products abroad increased by + USD 39.7 million. The export of chilled and frozen cattle meat (+ USD 12.7 million) as well as poultry, mostly chicken (+ USD 10.9 million) played the crucial role in boosting supplies.
