During 2008/09 MY Ukraine exported 5.6 mln tonnes of grain
Since the beginning of 2008/09 MY, (starting July 1, 2008), Ukraine has exported 5.6 mln tonnes of grain, including 2.6 mln tonnes of wheat, Juriy Melnik, the Minister of Agrarian Policy, said on September 24.
In July, Ukraine exported nearly 1.8 mln tonnes of grain, in August - 2.2 mln tonnes, in September, exports will total nearly 2.2 mln tones, too. Also, Ukraine exported 500.000 tonnes of rapeseed in August.
In 2008/09 MY the Ministry expects grain export from Ukraine to reach 22.5 mln tonnes.
