Agricultural exchange to begin trading on spot market
KYIV, July 3 /UKRINFORM/. Ukraine's Agrarian Commodity Exchange intends to hold test trading on the spot market this summer, which may completely change the situation on the market.
This was stated by the head of the exchange, Oleksandr Mariukhnych, according to the press service of the exchange.
"A spot exchange platform will be formed in the near future. In July or August, the Agrarian Exchange will start test trading on the agricultural market. We have every opportunity to make this project a success," the official noted.
He said the first deliveries of agricultural products on spot contracts will be made already in the current marketing year.
He also noted that all bidders will have access to specialized training. Farmers will be able to get practical skills for work in the system of spot trading, and Agrarian Exchange experts will be constantly supported during the trades.
According to him, thanks to full-fledged functioning of exchange mechanisms, farmers will receive a number of advantages, in particular, fair pricing and transparent bidding, safe and liquid place for sales. In turn, the country's budget will be provided with stable revenues from the export of Ukrainian grain, and the advantages of stock trading will be available to all the participants in the agricultural market of Ukraine.
Now trade in goods in Ukraine's agricultural sector is largely outside stock exchanges.
