World production of orange juice will decrease
United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) predicts a decline in world production of orange juice in 2017/2018 MY to 1.7 mln tons, that is 329 thous tons less than in the last year. The significant decline in production will be due to the decrease in production in Brazil from 1.37 mln tons in 2016/2017 MY to 1.15 mln tons in 2017/2018 MY.

China is boosting the import volume of soybeans
According to the USDA, in 2017/2018 MY Chinese import of oilseeds is projected at a record high level - 102,4 mln tons, which is almost 4 mln tons more than last year's level. At the same time, almost 98,9% account for soybeans.

Soybeans and poultry meat were the basis of increasing exports in January-February
According to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, in January-February the export of agricultural products from Ukraine increased by 3,4% to USD 2,774 mln, compared to the same period in 2017. At the same time, the export share of agricultural products in the overall structure of Ukraine's exports in the current year decreased from 42,8% in 2017 to 37,6%.

Bad weather conditions in Brazil and Argentina contribute to rising prices for Ukrainian corn
For the period from February 28 to March 07, the corn cost on the terms of FOB deepwater ports of Ukraine increased by an average of USD 8-10/MT and amounted to USD 193-198 /MT, that is USD 24 higher than the previous year.

Flower supplies increased by 25% in 2017
Last year Ukraine imported cut flowers for almost USD 7 mln, which in real terms is about 92.2 mln flowers and 25% higher than the indicator of 2016. Roses (36%), chrysanthemums (33%) and carnations (29%) were dominant in the import structure.

Agrarian export to the EU has set a record for the last 5 years
According to the results of 2017, Ukraine showed an increase in supplies of agricultural products to the EU by 34%, which is EUR 1.4 bln more than last year. This dynamic is a record for the last 5 years. According to the latest report of the European Commission Ukraine has risen from the 8th to the 4th place among the main supplier countries of agricultural products to the EU, giving way to only Brazil, the United States and Argentina.
