IFC invests in meat producer Axzon to help company expand
KYIV-- IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, is investing in Axzon, a leading Eastern European pork producer, to support the company s expansion in Ukraine. The investment will also facilitate the construction of new biogas plants in Poland, which will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and showcase the benefits of sustainable agriculture.

Ukrainians chose the best recipe for barbecue
Yesterday, 30 of May, the winner of All-Ukrainian competition "Taste, Country! The best recipe of barbecue" was awarded. The winner became a recipe of pork barbeque in kefir, which won the largest number of internet users’ votes. It was sent by a resident of Korosten Elena Veremyeyenko.

Ukrainian beef cattle is under threat again
Reducing the demand for beef leads to further reduction of purchase prices for cattle. At the end of May the prices for bulls were 14,00-15,50 UAH/kg, which is on 1,00-1,50 UAH/kg less than the previous month prices and 5,50-6,00 UAH/kg less than at the same period of last year. Ukraine has significant potential of agricultural waste products using as a source of renewable energy
