VAT refunding when grain exporting will increase the income of farmers on the 9.3 billion
Adoption of the Draft Law No. 3863 "On amendments to the Tax Codex of Ukraine on value added tax from some operations with grain and technical crops" of 11.01.2014 will be detrimental to agricultural producers because of the low purchasing prices, and once again would seriously damage investment attractiveness of Ukraine, given the inconsistency of the decision-making in the State.

Ukraine exports 32 mln tonnes of grain in 2013
Ukraine exported 22.132 million tonnes of grain to foreign countries in the first six months of the 2013/2014 marketing year, which was 4.825 million tonnes more than in the same period of the previous marketing year.

Not refunding of VAT to grain exporters and lack of state support threatens the dwindling agricultural production
Decreasing global and domestic prices and related to it multimillion losses, significant logistical expenses and expensive resource providing with almost absent State support creates catastrophically adverse conditions for agribusiness in Ukraine. At the same time, the draft budget for 2014 does not again includes almost any assistance from the State. This was stressed today during the press conference by the representatives of agricultural associations: the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club", Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation, the Union of Poultry Producers of Ukraine, and the Association of Farmers and Private Landowners of Ukraine.

Ukrainian agrarians threatening scarcity of mineral fertilizers
Because of the increasing prices for fertilizers in Ukraine agricultural associations ask the leaders of the State to cancel the special duty on mineral fertilizers. Sunflower seed market stabilized by national enterprises - Ukrainian Agribusiness Club
In September-November of 2013/2014 marketing year, sunflower seed export from Ukraine reduced by 80.1% or by 47,100 tonnes against the same period of 2012/2013 marketing year and made up only 11,700 tonnes. On the backdrop of the forecasted record-making gross yield of this crop at 10-10.6 million tonnes, the export rates appeared to be rather slow.

In the first quarter of 2013/2014 marketing year export of sunflower seeds decreased by 80%
In September-November 2013/14 MY export of sunflower seeds from Ukraine decreased by 80,1% or 47.1 thousand tons compare to the same period in 2012/13 MY and totaled just 11.7 thousand tons. Against the background of the predicted record gross harvest of the crop in 10-10.6 million tons, the pace of export turned out to be quite slow. Main contractors on export of sunflower are: Turkey, Russian Federation and the European Union.
