U.S. USDA's export credit for grain surpasses $5 billion

Russian grain prices down
Russian grain prices fell more last week on as expected healthy harvests elsewhere kept international demand low, analysts said on Monday. "Exporters are concerned about low demand on the part of importing nations, which this season are expecting large wheat crops," the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies (IKAR) said.

Cargo turnover of Illichivsk port decreases 12.5% in H1 2009
Sea Commercial Port of Illichivsk reduces its freight turnover 12.5%, to 8.273mn tons in H1 2009, against the same period in 2008. Transshipment of automotive equipment and containers fell 82.7% and 67.7% respectively.

Iraqi port unloading 202,000 tonnes of wheat
Iraq's Umm Qasr port is currently taking delivery of 202,000 tonnes of Australian, German and Russian hard wheat that were purchased this year, shipping sources said on Monday. The port, the entry point for most of the country's bulk commodity imports, was also expecting, by the end of July.
