Kernel acquires 71% stake in Ukrros for USD 42m
Kernel, the Polish-listed Ukrainian agricultural group, has acquired a 71% stake in Ukrros, the privately-held Ukrainian sugar producer, Kommersant Ukraine reported. The item cited a statement saying that the deal value was USD 42m. The report said that the vendors were Sergei and Alexander Fedorenko.

Ukrainian poultry producers get opportunity to approach EU market
The European Commission has recognised the Ukrainian Veterinary Service as capable of ensuring the food safety of poultry products, said the head of the State Veterinary Service, Ivan Bisyuk. The Ukrainian side obtained the respective certification two days ago, with Mr Bisyuk noting, "There are [a] few insignificant issues to be solved so that Ukrainian poultry producers could start exports to [the] EU."

Ukraine: zero import duties for buckwheat
Viktor Yanukovych, President of Ukraine, signed the Law of Ukraine #3086-VI “On the temporary tax assessment method for import operations of buckwheat groats”, declared the press-cutting service of the head of the State on March 17. The document comes into force on the following day.

Agricultural machinery market “has exploded” – UCAB
According to the data of Association “Ukrainian Agribusiness Club” ( UCAB) the volume of foreign trade of agricultural machinery in Ukraine has increased in 2.3 times since the beginning of the current year comparing with the same period of 2010: agricultural equipment export has increased by 14%, while import of the same output has enhanced by 181%.

Ukraine agrees to export wheat to Bangladesh
