Canada to export live stock to Ukraine

As of August 21 Ukraine produced 25.39 mln tonnes of grains
As of August 21, 2012, agrarians of Ukraine harvested grains and leguminous plants throughout the areas of 9.84 mln ha, or 65% of the forecast. The produced volumes totaled 25.39 mln tonnes of grains with the average yield of 25.8 c/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. In particular, as of the reporting date agrarians already harvested 48.6 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout the areas of 50.7 thsd ha (18%). The average yield totaled 9.6 c/ha.

Area for winter crops reduced in ten regions in Ukraine
Ukrainian regions have reduced the expected area for winter crops of the 2013 harvest, Director of the Department of Agriculture at the Ukrainian Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry Oleksandr Demydov has said at a regional meeting on the sowing of winter grain crops and rapeseed in the current year.
