Overview of agricultural products imported from the EU countries in January - May 2017 within the framework of Ukraine - EU FTA.
According to the State Fiscal Service, over January - May 2017 comparing to the same period in 2016, import of cheese increased the most (almost by USD 5 billion) reaching USD 15.7 billion. Poland, Germany and France became the three largest suppliers of cheese to Ukraine.
Cattle, live
The volume of imported products is 65% less than the similar period last year.
Meat of cattle, frozen
Lithuania is the largest importing country, with its share of 57%. In total, import grew by 4%.
Pork
Import of product reduced by 49 %. Half of imported pork is accounted for the Netherlands.
Meat and edible by-products of poultry
Over January-May 2017 the products to the amount of USD 15.2 billion were imported. Share of the main EU countries is 78 %.
Dairy products
An increase of the total import of all categories of dairy products is observed. The supplies from Germany and Poland significantly increased.
Cheese
Import of cheese increased by 46% compared with January-May 2016. Share of the EU countries in the structure of import increased as well, especially Poland boosted its supplies.
Vegetables
Import of vegetables reduced comparing to indices of the previous year.
