Overview of agricultural products imported from the EU countries in January 2017 within the framework of Ukraine - EU FTA.
According to the State Fiscal Service, over January 2017 comparing to the same period in 2016, 53.6 % increase of export of agricultural products is observed amounting up to USD 1.4 billion as well as 16% increase of import amounting up to USD 0.3 billion.
Cattle, live
(The volume of imported products is 85% less than the similar period last year).
Meat of cattle, frozen
(Lithuania is the largest importing country, with its share of 60%. In total, import grew by 30%).
Pork
(Import of product reduced by almost half, 69 %. 80 % of imported pork is from Germany).
Meat and edible by-products of poultry
(Over January 2017 the products to the amount of more than USD 2.8 million were imported. Share of the main EU countries is 86.2 %).
Dairy products
(An increase of the total import of all categories of dairy products is observed. The supplies from Belgium, Germany and Poland significantly increased).
Cheese
(Imports of cheese increased by 52% compared with January 2016. Share of the EU countries in the structure of import increased as well, especially Poland boosted its supplies).
Vegetables
(Import of vegetables reduced comparing to indices of the previous year. Share of the EU countries in the general structure of import decreased as well).
