Ministry of Agricultural Policy reduces its outlook for sugar output
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine has announced that at present, sugar beet is gathered on 93% of areas under crops in Ukraine. According to preliminary estimation, the harvest will slightly exceed 10mn tons. So the ministry reduced its outlook for output of sugar made of sugar beet harvested in 2009, by 20%, to 1.2mn tons.

Ukrainian grain market lowered by one third
According to estimations of APK-Inform experts, in 2009/10 MY, the export potential of grains and leguminous plants from Ukraine totals 16.8 mln tonnes, down 33% compared to the export volumes in 2008/09 MY. Despite the decrease of export volumes, the mentioned volume is rather large-scale, and exceeds the average annual indices of the previous seasons (except of 2008/09 MY).
