Transit traffic volumes
In January-September volumes of transit traffic via Ukraine's territory reduced by 2.2% tо 243.8 million tons against the same period of 2008, the State Statistics Committee informs.
Volumes of railroad activity dropped by 40% tо 45.7 million tons, automobile transport - by 39.7% tо 2.3 million tons, sea transport - by 43.9% tо 1.4 million tons, river transport - by 99.6% tо 0.12 thousand tons, air transport - by 25.4% tо 0.85 thousand tons, other types of transport - by 34% tо 54,390 tons.
At the same time, pipeline transit increased by 16.7% tо 194.2 million tons against the same period of the previous year.
