Government started refunding VAT to ag producers
The Agrarian Fund sold 2.1 MMT of grain on account of VAT refunds to exporters. “Traders bought 2.1 MMT of grain (from AF) on account of repayment of VAT,” First Deputy Ag Minister Yuriy Luzan told a briefing. According to him, 2.4 MMT of grain is in the Agrarian Fund’s disposal now; this volume includes grain provided by peasants as collateral for government loans.
Earlier the Cabinet of Ministers instructed the Agrarian Fund, the Ministries of Agriculture and Finance, and the State Tax Administration of Ukraine to ensure VAT refunds to grain exporters to the amount of UAH 1 Bl in September / October.
