Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers approves $77 mln project of terminal construction in Yuzhny port
The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers approved the project and the status of construction of a new cargo transhipment complex of open storage at the berth N10 of GP Yuzhny Commercial Seaport (Odessa region).
Under the Government regulation N1390 dated November 11, 2009 that Interfax refers to, the cost of the complex of 1.2 mln tons annual capacity will amount to 616.919 mln hryvnas (about $77.1 mln), including the cost of construction-and-assembly works – 416.425 mln hryvnas, that of equipment – 85.051 mln hryvnas, other costs – 114.44 mln hryvnas.
The project will be implemented at the expense of Yuzny port funds. Construction duration – 2010-2012. The volume of financing will amount to 83.348 mln hryvnas in 2010, 345.895 mln hryvnas in 2011, 183.57 mln hryvnas in 2012.
Yuzhny Commercial Seaport founded in 1978 is located on the bank of Adzhalyk basin. It is the deepest port of the Ukraine with overall berths length of about 2.6 km. Cargo turnover of the port amounted to 21,698,000 tons in 2008.
