Agricultural production 5.3% up in Ukraine
The total agricultural production in Ukraine in January-March 2010 compared with the same period in 2009 increased by 5.3%, including in agricultural enterprises - grew by 12.6%, in households - fell by 0.7%, according to the State Statistics Committee.

Belarus to export 65,000 tonnes of beetsugar to Ukraine in 2010
A quota has been assigned for Belarus to deliver 65,000 tonnes of beetsugar to Ukraine this year. The two sides have signed the relevant contracts, First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko stated at a briefing in Kyiv after a session of the Belarus-Ukraine intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation on 15 April.

Since its creation, the CAP has always been adapted to respond to the challenges of its time. Significant reforms have been made in recent years, notably in 2003 and during the CAP health check in 2008, to modernise the sector and make it more market-oriented.
