Ukraine exhausted its quota on export of processed tomatoes to the EU
According to data provided by the European Commission, at the beginning of April 2017 Ukraine has filled quota on tax-free export of the processed tomatoes. Poland (55.8% of export of all processed tomatoes), Austria (10.5%) and Germany (6.9%) are the main consumer countries of this product.

Belarus is the main importer of the Ukrainian sour cherries
In 2016 there was a clear trend of export recovery of the stone fruits produced in Ukraine. As of 2016 production in Ukraine amounted to 509.8 thous. tons where the largest share, 43%, was occupied by sour cherries and cherries, share of 35% was occupied by plums. In total 1,879 tons or 0.4% of gross output were supplied to the foreign market.

Import of grain harvesters increased by 2.5 times
In 2016 Ukraine imported 3,139 harvesters that is 2.5 times more comparing to 2015 and is the highest indicator since 2008. 92% of imported supplies accounted for the following top 5 countries: Germany - 35%, Poland - 21%, the USA - 17%, Belgium - 11% and Belarus - 8%.

Ukraine twice increased yield of sorghum
Over the past 10 years in Ukraine the productivity of sorghum increased from 1.9 t/ha in 2006 to 3.9 t/ha in 2016. According to the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) in 2016/17 marketing year our country is among 10 world leaders of sorghum yield lagging behind the highest index of 5.72 t/ha which belongs to the EU.

Ukrainian dairy products are conquering Europe
Economic part of the FTA with EU is effective since April 2014, but only in late 2016 Ukraine managed to export dairy products under the Agreement for the first time. Ukraine supplied 450 tons of milk powder amounting to 30% of the duty-free export quota and 690 tons of butter amounting to 46% of quota respectively.

Draft laws on land consolidation should be embodied, - UCAB
During the round table ‘Consolidation of land plots located on agricultural areas’ the Committee of Verkhovna Rada on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations considered two bills No.6049 and No.6049-1 registered on 7 and 23 February respectively. The specified documents are intended to regulate consolidation of plots within the agricultural areas for ease of their use and cultivation.
