Ukraine to export up to 1.2 million tonnes of grain
Ukraine's grain exports will not exceed 1.2 million tonnes in August, the same volume as in July, Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said on Wednesday.

As of August 21 Ukraine produced 25.39 mln tonnes of grains
As of August 21, 2012, agrarians of Ukraine harvested grains and leguminous plants throughout the areas of 9.84 mln ha, or 65% of the forecast. The produced volumes totaled 25.39 mln tonnes of grains with the average yield of 25.8 c/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. In particular, as of the reporting date agrarians already harvested 48.6 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout the areas of 50.7 thsd ha (18%). The average yield totaled 9.6 c/ha.

Area for winter crops reduced in ten regions in Ukraine
Ukrainian regions have reduced the expected area for winter crops of the 2013 harvest, Director of the Department of Agriculture at the Ukrainian Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry Oleksandr Demydov has said at a regional meeting on the sowing of winter grain crops and rapeseed in the current year.

100,000 tons of fish caught in Ukraine for 7 months - statistics
In January-July 2012, enterprises and businessmen engaged in fishing activities caught and produced a total of 100,000 tons of fish and other aquatic resources, which is 1.9% more compared to the same period in 2011, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reported.

Ukraine: experts reduced the forecast of grain exports by 8.4%
In the current MY, the exports of grains from Ukraine will total 20.3 mln tonnes, as opposed to the previous forecast of 22.2 mln tonnes, declared the press-service of the interdepartmental working group of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, Ukrainian Grain Association and the State Statistics Service on August 17, 2012.
