EU wheat subdued on CBOT drop
Wheat prices in major western European markets were flat to lower on Tuesday, dampened by a dollar-driven fall in Chicago and sluggish export demand. Grain reserve 20.9 million tons
Ukraine's agricultural enterprises (except for small-scale) dealing with the storage and processing of grain crops had 20.9 million tons grain as of December 1 (13% down on December 1, 2008), including 9.4 million tons of wheat, 4.6 million tons of barley, 4.7 million tons of corn, and 0.8 million tons of rye, the State Statistics Committee reported.

FAO examines Iran's grain production, use
In its latest report on Iran, the Food and Agricultural Organization cited a 5 million tons decrease in grain imports, 3.7 million tons of local wheat production, a stop in the growth of rice consumption, and the production of 95 percent of the meat used in the country in 2009.
