Australia. CBH raises estimated returns for oat pools
CBH Group announced on Dec. 23 that the 2009-10 harvest pool for oats is up again with the estimated pool return (EPR) for Grade 1 oats increasing A$10 per tonne to A$188 per tonne. The EPRs for Wandering and Grade 2 oats are both up A$2 per tonne to A$161 per tonne and A$157 per tonne respectively.
CBH attributed the increase to international oat values continuing to firm on the back of less than expected production in many of the world's primary oat growing regions. The company said the 2009-10 oats pool equities are also receiving support from the drop in the Australian dollar that CBH has experienced recently.
All other 2009-10 pools remain unchanged, the company said.
