Start of sowing campaign delays in Ukraine
The beginning of the spring sowing campaign in Ukraine may be delayed for two to three weeks because of snow, director of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Mykola Kulbida told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports. According to him, farmers will not be able to go into fields for sowing spring cereals for two to three weeks due to adverse weather conditions.

Cold weather will not harm winter crops, Kulbida assured
Cold weather will not affect the condition of winter crops, director of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Mykola Kulbida told a briefing. «In most regions of Ukraine winter crops passed this winter well. The total percentage of areas, which are in poor condition, amounts to 8–10% that is completely normal and is observed every winter,» he said.
