EU COMPLETES INSPECTION OF POULTRY PRODUCERS
A special EU commission last Thursday completed its inspection of Ukrainian poultry producers before deciding on whether to allow exports to the EU. The official report should be prepared and sent to Ukraine within 20 days.

Ukraine: as of June 1 grain stocks in Crimea decreased by 15.5%
As of the beginning of June 2009, agricultural enterprises (except of small ones) of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Ukraine) dealing with storing and processing of grains stocked 280.8 thsd tons of grains, a decrease of 15.5% compared to June 1, 2008, declared the Main department of statistics of the republic.

Mexico allows corn imports to produce biofuels
Mexico will allow corn imports to produce biofuels, since a law limits the use of nationally grown food crops to make fuel, the government said on Thursday. "The partial or total use of imported corn for the production of biofuels will not require a permit from the agriculture ministry," said to the new rules published in the official gazette.

Sugar production from 2009 beet yield to reduce to 1.2-1.3mln tons
Sugar beet production in the new marketing year in Ukraine (marketing year, September 2009/August 2010) will make up 1.2-1.3 million tons, 23.8-17.4% less against the 2008/2009 marketing year, the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine Ukrtsukor considers.
