Ukraine increased grain share in the general commodity exports to the level of 9.6%
In January-May of 2012, the general commodity exports from Ukraine totaled 28.2 bln USD (an increase of 5.8% compared to the same period in 2011), imports – 33.9 bln USD (up 7.4%). The coverage ratio of exports to imports totaled 0.83 (in January-May of 2011 – 0.84), according to data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

Individual peasants has got a real state assistance for the first time in 20 years
Statebudget assistance for maintenance and preservation of young cattle has become one of the first initiatives of the Government for twenty years, which aims to help peasants. In addition to increasing of young cattle, assistance will facilitate the creation of family farms and social well-being in the village.

UCAB: Export perspectives of Ukrainian grain reducing day by day due to heat
The export potential of grain crops with each day of bad weather is reducing. In the 2012/2013 marketing year, it will decrease by almost 5 million tons as compared with the previous season due to lower harvest of early crops. Moreover, the experts have the fear of further decline in exports due to record material losses of farmers this year, the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club (UCAB) said in a statement.

2012 grain harvest may fall to 40 million tons with lasting drought - expert
Dry weather conditions in June, which were observed over almost the entire territory of Ukraine, had a negative impact on early crops. Experts predict a decrease in Ukraine's grain harvest by 3 million tons to 44 million tons.
